Hi I’m Katie and I have lived in England my whole life. As a child my dream was to follow my mum’s footsteps as a ballerina and so I trained for two years at the English National Ballet School in London. After deciding ballet was not the career for me, I moved back home to my family in Surrey where I decided I wanted to pursue a career in Early Years. I began working at Monkey Puzzle Highbury in 2021 as a Nursery Assistant in the Toddler Room and after completing my Level 3 Early Years Educator qualification, became a Nursery Practitioner.

In September 2022, I was offered the opportunity to progress and moved to our sister nursery, Monkey Puzzle Angel to become the Toddler Room Leader. This was a big challenge for me but I absolutely loved pushing myself out of my comfort zone! In February 2023, I returned again to my hometown in Surrey and began a completely different role in the organisation working as Recruitment Assistant across the 5 nurseries in our network. I have since progressed into my new role of Talent & Marketing Manager where my key responsibilities include recruiting new super stars to join the team, looking after our ‘ZeroHero’ team members and running the social media accounts for the nurseries. I also enjoy coming in to visit the team and children in the nurseries, especially joining fun outings to different places like the theatre or the fire station!

In my spare time, I really enjoy reading, going for long walks in nature and spending quality time with my friends and family!
