Nursery Assistant

Hi I’m Hollie! I have lived all my life in Islington, where I also studied, since primary school and all the way through university, which I’m currently completing. Even though I have lived in London my whole life, my heart belongs in the countryside, and any chance I get, I love spending time surrounded by nature alongside my daughter.

From a young age I knew I wanted to work in the care sector, supporting positive change. Although I considered different alternatives, it was only after I had my own child that I found the Early Years to be my true passion. They say ‘it takes a village to raise a child’ and I look forward to being part of that village for all the families who may need it.

I love working with children, seeing the world from their perspective, and creating activities based on their uniqueness. I really believe I can learn more by observing children playing and using their imagination than in any lecture or class I could attend.

In my spare time, I like bedazzling crocs for my family and friends -my little girl is my #1 costumer! Since starting uni, reading has also become a bit of a hobby, I enjoy learning more about different topics -knowledge really is power!! And of course, since becoming a mum, spending time with my little one is my absolute favourite activity, watching her discover and explore the world around her, and going on adventures together.

Qualifications, Skills &Experience:

• Experience in different childcare settings
• Studying towards her BA in Early Childhood Studies
• Paediatric 1st Aid trained
