As every year, we are proud to be able to support those families in need by raising some money for the jeans for Genes campaign on Friday 20th September. Every penny helps fund studies to treat a variety of genetic disorders. The children certainly enjoyed becoming fashion designers and creating their own masterpieces, finding new ways of creating something special from old clothes. We love the up-cycling movement.

Baby room where very busy with a floor activity, they used different materials to redesign a pair of jeans. They really enjoyed adding their sparkle to make the pair of jeans amazing. The babies also enjoyed washing some jeans in the tuff tray.

Toddler room were very occupied with multiple activities involving jeans, first they used a variety of materials to design their own pair of jeans made out of card and then put their own spin on a larger scale of jeans. Working as a team to create the best jeans ever seen.

Preschool room have taken an active role to upcycle, they took a trip the previous week to the charity shop to find a pair of jeans. With this pair of jeans they used scissors to make squares and turn them into keyrings. They decorated the keyrings with sparkly gems. What a lovely idea!
