We are thrilled to share with you the delightful activities our little ones took part in during our ‘Baby Olympics’ last month! It was a day full of joy, laughter, and lots of movement as the children explored a variety of fun and engaging physical activities designed just for them. ‘Active childhoods’ is one of our ethos and we always take any opportunity we have to embrace it. The Baby Olympics was an exciting outing where all our children got to show off their physical abilities through a series of playful challenges in the park. They also joined our sister nursery Melody Lane, making it a true Monkey Puzzle takeover! Here’s a quick overview of the activities: Race: Our youngest athletes joined in a big running competition. It was wonderful to see their determination as they made their way to the finish line. It was just amazing to see them all running together with big smiles.

Tug of war rope: our children enjoyed working together in groups as teams using all their muscles to pull in one direction. This was a really fun activity, and all the children enjoyed taking part in it. Bin bags toss: A simple but exciting game where the children practiced their hand-eye coordination by tossing soft bags on the grass and seeing how fair it go. They on only practiced the gross motor skills but also practice their math measuring how far it landed. The smiles and cheers were endless as each child took their turn.

Our youngers children also enjoyed using their fine motor skills to paint the rings on a big white paper to create their own flag to commemorate this important event. All the children did amazing sports activities, at the end they were coronate with a medal for their hard effort.
