To celebrate World Book Day, children and staff dressed up as their favourite book characters, which prompted nice conversations about the different stories and what made them so special for each of them. Children also brought their favourite books to nursery, which was an amazing way of sharing their interests with their peers, while also bringing a bit of their home life into the setting.

The Toddler Room brought some favourite books to life by making the foods used in stories such as “The very hungry caterpillar” and “Goldilocks and the 3 bears”.

In Preschool, the little Inventors made their own books and chose their favourites to read at story time. The Babies painted the characters of Animal Boogie, an absolute favourite in the room, and they also went on their very own Bear Hunt, splashing on the muddy puddles.

It’s been a wonderful day, with various activities that highlighted the beauty and importance of starting the habit of reading, even at a young age.
