Our Commitment Towards Early Years Nutrition
We know that healthy eating is vitally important for the under 5s, and at Monkey Puzzle Highbury Nursery we are committed to ensuring that your children have a well-balanced nutritious diet. That’s why we are excited to announce that we have joined the Early Years Nutrition (EYN) Partnership programme, an independent social enterprise working to improve the future health outcomes of young children by setting standards for nutrition in early years’ settings.
Through the programme we are working alongside the EYN Partnership’s Registered Nutritionist Dr. Xanthi Maragkoudaki, benefiting from her expertise and tailored support to help us develop our menus, review our food policy and think further about how we teach your children about healthy eating and provide positive mealtime experiences. EYN Partnership resources have been developed using the expertise of the British Nutrition Foundation and the Pre-school Learning Alliance with guidance from the EYN Partnership Expert Panel.
You can learn more about the Early Years Nutrition Partnership programme and find plenty of tips on the website www.eynpartnership.org, by visiting the EYN Partnership YouTube Channel or following @EYNpartnership on Twitter.
We look forward to bringing you news about the work we are doing as part of the EYN Partnership programme. This is something that we are passionate about achieving for the nursery as it links into our Nursery Ethos; healthy eating and active childhoods.
